Following their father’s recent incarceration, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children addressed the “hurtful” accusations that had been going around about their family, especially their late mother, Kim Porter.
Tuesday night, Quincy, 33, Christian, 26, and the 17-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila posted a united statement on their individual Instagram pages. This is the first time the group has spoken out in public since Combs was arrested on accusations of racketeering and sex trafficking.
The Bad Boy Records founder’s kids claimed that rumors swirling that Porter wrote a book are “untrue” and that anyone claiming to have a manuscript is “misrepresenting themselves.”
They also said that anyone claiming to be a friend of the family who is speaking on their behalf “is not a friend” and does not have their “best interests at heart.”
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed,” they wrote.
The siblings also seemingly addressed rumors that Diddy had something to do with their mom’s passing, writing that her “cause of her death has long been established.”
“There was no foul play,” they wrote. “Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”
Combs’ kids also noted that they are “deeply saddened” that the public has made a “spectacle” over the “most tragic event” in their lives.
