Information reaching Insidefuss.com has it 11 more protestors have been remanded into police custody by an Accra High Court.
According to reports, the 11 suspects who appeared in court today are to reappear in court on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
All of them pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit crime.
This latest development brings the total number of remanded protesters to 53, all of whom were arrested during demonstrations that took place between September 21 and 23.
The protests, organized by Democracy Hub to oppose illegal mining (galamsey), led to violent confrontations between demonstrators and the police at the 37 Intersection in Accra.
